Make sure you don’t leave Djerba without paying a visit to the Djerba Explore Park. This fun attraction is famous for its huge collection of Nile crocodiles and you will see these imposing reptiles sunbathing on the edges of palm-fringed pools. They may look lazy but if you happen to be there at feeding time you will soon see how fast they can move!
As well as the crocs the Park has some fascinating cultural exhibits. The Lalla Hadria Museum has one of the richest displays of Tunisian and Arab-Islamic art in the country. And at Menzel Djerba Heritage you will see for yourself the rural way of life of the island, a system which has persisted for centuries.
The Park also has a ‘village’ where you can relax over a cup of traditional mint tea or shop for souvenirs
