Take a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels and discover some lesser known facts about the Vietnam War. Situated 30 miles northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the tunnel network was home to around 10,000 troops of the Northern Army (Viet Minh, and later Viet Cong) who lived underground for several years. It took about 25 years to build this underground ‘city’ that has living rooms, kitchens, hospitals, schools, meeting rooms, weapon factories, storage facilities and command centers! At the peak of the Vietnam War, large vents were installed to hear helicopters approaching and smaller vents for ventilation, which included several hidden trap doors. Enjoy the unique experience of seeing what underground life was during the Vietnam War.
