Nestled between the dunes of Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean this port city is a scenic wonder. Board the catamaran from the Walvis Bay Yacht Club and begin your sojourn into Namibia’s only deep sea harbour. Moving along the Oyster Platforms, you will be informed about the Walvis Bay cultivated Oysters and also will get to taste some! The lighthouse in the distance will reveal its stature as you cruise closer to the Pelican Point. With its jetty and coastline carpeted with pelicans, the view from the catamaran is heavenly. Further on, the vistas of the artistically shaped and coloured dunes in the backdrop and somersaulting dolphins in the crystal waters make this cruise worthwhile. You might come across three types of dolphins here-Heavyside, Dusky and Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins. Passing the huge colonies of seals, you get the opportunity to feed these adorable creatures baking on the sun kissed sands. Enjoy a glass of bubbly or wine with delicious lunch of baked brotchens and fresh oysters as you soak up some sun on the deck.
