The beach-town atmosphere of Mombasa casts a spell on you as you explore its pretty beaches and rich marine life. Enjoy the picturesque beauty of Shimoni (80km south of Mombasa), the erstwhile headquarters of the British East India Company, as you sail on a traditional Arabic dhow towards Kisite Marine Park. Kisite Island is a pretty coral island with coral platforms exposed at low tides. Snorkel in the sapphire waters of the Indian Ocean and watch schools of fish, dolphins and other fascinating aquatic creatures flourishing around you. Savour a meal of whole crab, steamed with ginger, at the famous Charlie Claws in Wasini Island, as you look out at the Indian Ocean towards the distant mountains of Tanzania.
