A visit to Casablanca is a must on your Moroccan visit. Being the largest city in Morocco and the economic capital of the country, Casablanca has a lot that is interesting. Start your tour with the old medina (old city) and move on to the Mohammed V square which is a majestically built complex around a fountain. It houses government offices, courts and banks. See the influence of French and Moorish architecture in these buildings. Also see the Royal Palace and the famous Hassan II mosque, the second largest mosque in the world. It is a stunning piece of architecture and craftsmanship, situated right on the Atlantic Ocean. As you move around the city of Casablanca, you’ll pass through large areas of greenery with palm trees, arcades, pergolas and cafés with shady terraces.
