Budapest City Tour – Millennium Memorial, Opera House |
Trace the history of Budapest at the Millennium Memorial and see the Opera House
| Overview | |
This short city tour is the best way to see Budapest, Hungary’s capital, which is architecturally rich. You can see some fine examples of Baroque, Neo-classical, Eclectic and Art-Nouveau buildings. Some of the famous landmarks that you will see are the Opera House, Hero’s Square and Elizabeth bridge which is a gleaming white suspension bridge north-east of Gellert Hill. The Millennium Memorial has statues of the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century and other figures from Hungarian history. Also included in this tour is Gellért Hill from where you can see excellent views of the Danube and the Royal Palace.
