Get the adrenalin pumping and watch a game of Thai Boxing at some of the best stadiums in Bangkok
| Overview | |
|
Thai boxing (Muay Thai) has gained in popularity around the world and there is probably no better place to view this energetic sport than in Bangkok. Spice up your Bangkok trip by watching a game of Thai boxing at Ratchdamnoen Stadium and Lumpini Stadium - the two most popular Thai Boxing stadiums in Bangkok. This sport originated from combat training and has become famous throughout the world. The strange rules of the game or the lack of it has always amazed visitors. Unlike boxing, all parts of the body can be used and any part of the opponent’s body can be struck. Fists are used for punching, feet and knees for kicking and pushing, and elbows for jabbing. Earlier, there were no gloves, so a knotted starched cord was used to bind the hands and arms of the boxers. Due to fewer rules, the game was also more brutal then. Get your adrenalin pumping as you make this trip to see Bangkok’s renowned Thai boxing or Muay Thai.
