Bird watching and Wildlife Safari Tour-12 Days/11 Nights |
Explore Tanzania’s wildlife safari parks for an unforgettable holiday in the wilds of Africa.
| Overview | |
Explore the wilderness of Tanzania as you visit some of the most popular wildlife safari parks on this tour. Visit the 137 square kilometres Arusha National Park and go on game safaris and spot giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, elephants, hippos and monkeys. With the Kilimanjaro and Meru Mountains in the backdrop, this reserve is also visually arresting. In the West Kilimanjaro region, set out on a game drive in the 10,000 acres Ndarakwai ranch that is covered with acacia trees. You could come across ‘patas’ monkeys (fastest primate in the world) and a number of elephants in this wildlife park. Head to the 2850 square kilometres Tarangire National Park, through which the Tarangire River flows. Pack your binoculars for bird watching as this wildlife safari park is home to a large number of birds like orange parrots and the ashy starling. Take a walk, accompanied by armed guards and naturalists, to the Kikoti Rock. Further on, stop at the 330 square kilometres Lake Manyara National Park for a game safari. Drive up to the 20 kilometres wide Ngorongoro crater, whose thick forests, grasslands and wetlands provides the perfect setting for game spotting. On your way to the Serengeti Park, visit the Ol Duvai Gorge (100 metres, 50 kilometres long), which cuts through the Serengeti plains. The Serengeti reserve encompasses the Ngorongoro conservation area, the Maswa Game Reserve and Masai Mara in Kenya up to Lake Victoria in the Western Corridor. Head to the Speke bay, named after John Hanning Speke who discovered Lake Victoria as the source of the River Nile in 1858. Lake Victoria is Africa’s largest lake and the world’s second largest freshwater lake with an area of 68,800 square kilometres. Go fishing and interact with the local fishermen. Return to Serengeti and spot a variety of animals like wildebeest, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes and elands that makes this reserve ideal for wildlife safaris. Explore Tanzania’s wildlife safari parks for an unforgettable holiday in the wilds of Africa.
