This sightseeing tour will first take you to Herend which is famous for porcelain. At the world’s largest porcelain factory (founded in 1826) you may pick up some exquisite pieces as souvenirs. Lake Balaton, Central Europe's largest freshwater lake, is very popular with tourists. The north shore of the lake is noted for its resorts, wineries and spas. Jutting into the lake, the Tihany Peninsula has one of the country's most interesting national parks and an Abbey, founded in 1051.
