Take a trip to the interiors of the Amazon rainforest and visit the Amazonat Jungle Resort. Stay at the Amazonat Jungle Resort located 158 kilometres east of Manaus. This privately owned property is covered with rainforest and dissected by small creeks connected to the Urubu River, one of the main tributaries of the Amazon, near the delta of the Rio Negro. The acidity of the water in this region prevents the multiplication of viruses and mosquitoes so you can enjoy a mosquito free holiday! Visit an igapo (a jungle growing out of the water) on the Urubu River and have lunch with a caboclo family. The Caboclos are a native tribe of the Amazon rainforest. You can visit their manioc plantation, go fishing, swimming and alligator spotting on this tour. While at the rainforest, keep a look out for the countless animals that make the Amazon basin their home.
