You can never really know a country unless you know its people. So if you want to know Namibia well, get close to the Namibian natives on this tour. Feel the courage of Herero chiefs as you visit the Herero chiefs’ grave in Okahandja. Some of these chiefs lost their lives in a failed rebellion against the German colonialists in 1904. Take home a beautifully crafted item from the Kavango Woodcarvers market. You will also find your visit to "Tsumeb Cultural Village" very useful. At this open-air museum, you can conveniently study the lifestyles of various Namibian tribal homesteads: Himba, Ovambo, Kavango, Carpivi, Herero, San, Damara and Nama. Visit the Bushmen residential Treesleeper Camp and learn ways of creating their own sustainable income. Ndonga homesteads will entertain you with a demonstration on basket weaving, traditional dancing and music. You will be treated to a delicious traditional lunch here. At Himba settlement, do not be surprised to see natives draped in Western shirts. These natives have taken up this fashion from the Western missionaries who settled there. You must know the Namibian natives in and out by now. So why don’t you end this trip by going on an exciting game drive on the western part of Etosha. This area is blessed with different ecosystems and wildlife and will be wonderful memory to take home.
