This three day Indonesian excursion takes you to the Trunyan village, known for its unique customs, and to the active Batur volcano. Learn about the peculiar tradition of leaving dead-bodies to decompose in a special cemetery at the Trunyan village. You will come across a huge collection of skulls and bones on the stone platform. The laborious uphill trek to the peak of Mount Batur is worth the effort as you get to walk around the rim of the volcano cone. Enjoy the feel as you descend from the crater to the vast expanse of black sands which was originally hot flowing lava. Catch the magnificent sight of the red sky and a spectacular sunrise from the top of the volcano.
