The vessel Mahi Mahi, is modern, large and spacious and specifically designed for whale watching. Three large viewing decks offer unobstructed viewing of whales, dolphins and other marine life. The ship is the only Gold Coast Whale Watching vessel with a unique water level viewing platform providing guests with the closest humpback whale encounters possible.
Every year between May and October, more than 12,000 humpback whales migrate to these warm sub-tropical waters to mate and give birth. They are thrilling animals to watch because they often leap right out of the water, a type of behavior known as ‘breaching’.
The calm winter waters off the Gold Coast are also home to bottlenose dolphins, giant loggerhead turtles, killer whales and various sea birds. An on-board marine scientist will provide fascinating commentary on everything you see.
You will be back at the Wharf, where the cruise ends.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details.
