You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach from the bus parking near Zurich Main Train Station (Stop: Sihlquai, Streetcar: 4, 13). Accompanied by a multi-lingual guide speaking English, Spanish and German, you will journey on the Panorama Highway to Rapperswil, well known for its medieval castle. It is popularly known as the ‘City of Roses’ for its beautiful scenery.
Further on, proceed to the picturesque village of Appenzell, a canton situated in Eastern Switzerland. Set out on a guided walk through the village and you will come across lovely old painted houses. After the stroll, you will have about 2 ½ hours at leisure to explore the place on your own. The pedestrian zone with its beautiful facades invites you for strolling and shopping.
You could take an optional trip to the Museum of Appenzell, where you can learn about the way of life in this part of Switzerland. It is a private museum that exhibits a cross-section of local history and culture.

After a tour of the chocolate factory, we continue the journey trough beautiful, green Swiss landscapes into the heart of the Cheese Country, Appenzellerland.
After a tour of the cheese factory, return by coach to Zurich. You will be dropped back to the bus station.
