Enjoy the beauty of the snowy landscape of Switzerland with a trip to Mount Pilatus, a mountain shrouded in mystery and folklore. From the scenic town of Kriens, take a panorama gondola and cable-car to the summit of Mount Pilatus into a mystical, white winter paradise. Legend has it that kind dragons inhabited this mountain. Stroll up the Dragon Path, a winding and curvaceous path around the mountain affording a panoramic view of the alpine valley and the villages below.
After reaching the top, take in the breathtaking scenery of the snow-capped Alps blending with the clear blue sky.
The tour starts from the Tourist Information Centre in Train Station of Lucerne, Zentralstrasse 5, in front of Mc Donald’s. You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach and taken to Kriens, accompanied by a multi-lingual guide speaking English, Spanish and German.
Kriens is a municipality in the district of Lucerne, at the foot of Mount Pilatus. From Kriens, take a panorama gondola and cable-car ride (about 40 minutes) to the summit of Mount Pilatus, at an altitude of 2132 metres. From the top, enjoy magnificent views of the Alps, the surrounding mountains and lakes. Take the Dragon Path, an easy stroll through the rock gallery on Mount Pilatus. Lunch will be now on Top of Mt. Pilatus at the self-serving restaurant Bellevue. You are at leisure for about two and a half hours on Mount Pilatus to enjoy the scenery and take up short hikes.

After the tour, take the cable-car back to Kriens. From Kriens, board your coach for a return journey to Lucerne. The tour ends at the Lucerne Tourist Information Center.

During winters if a mountain has to close the cable cars/ cogwheel trains because of bad weather, there are two possible situations:
If the news is received BEFORE the coach has left for the tour, there are 3 possibilities:
Post-poning the tour to another day
Changing the booking to another mountain (generally no refund because the tour is fully guided)
Changing the booking to Lucerne, the must for every visitor, (in this case refund will be paid.)
Not taking any tour and get full refund
If the news is received AFTER the coach has already left, there are 2 possibilites:
Changing the booking and going to another mountain (generally no refund, because the tour is fully guided)
Changing the booking to Lucerne, te must for every visitor, (in this case refund will be paid.)
Mt. Pilatus will not be available with departure from Lucerne from 17th of November until 31st of March due to new
building of the aerial cable car from Fräkmünttegg to Pilatus Kulm
