There are two options for your Barcelona ballooning adventure: Hot-Air Balloon Ride and Private Hot-Air Balloon Ride
Hot-Air Balloon Ride
You will be picked up from your hotel in central Barcelona and transported to the balloon launch site in a Land Rover Defender 4x4 or Minivan. If your hotel is not centrally located please call the activity operator at least 24 hours in advance to arrange an alternative pick-up point. This is usually the Arc de Triomph monument.
You will drive out of Barcelona for about 25 miles (41km) to the launch site at Cardedeu, which is near Montseny Natural Park. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
On arrival at the launch site, the crew will set up and inflate the balloon, and your pilot will give you a safety briefing.
Then it’s up and away for your magical balloon ride. You will drift gently up to heights of around 3000 feet (923 meters) and see awesome views of the magnificent Catalonian landscapes. Your precise route depends on the prevailing wind direction, but you will probably be able to admire the Pyrenees, the glistening Mediterranean Sea, the Montserrat and Montseny massifs and even sometimes Barcelona itself.
The flight will last about 60 to 90 minutes. When you return to earth you will celebrate your flight in the traditional way with a Champagne toast, as well as a brunch snack of delicious sandwiches. You will also be issued with your First Flight Certificate.
At the end of your thrilling ballooning adventure, you will be transported back to the pick-up point.
Private Hot-Air Balloon Ride
This tour is the same as the one above, except that it takes place with a maximum of two people plus the pilot and so is a more special and intimate experience – the ultimate getaway in the peace and tranquillity of the skies.
On landing you will be presented with your Flight Certificate and served your Champagne toast and brunch. You will then be driven back to the starting point.
