Itinerary

You will be picked up at 09:00am from the Bus Terminal at Ronda Universidad. Accompanied by a multi-lingual guide and travelling in a coach, you will visit:

The Plaça Catalunya: It is regarded as the central point of Barcelona City where you will find fountains, sculptures and grass verges - a welcome oasis of green in the very heart of the city.

Via Laietana: It is a street that is lined with elegant buildings that now house a wide range of bars, restaurants and cafes. It is named after an Iberian tribe (Laietans) who lived in the area before the arrival of the Romans.

Barcelona Cathedral: This gigantic cathedral and its cloister is a focal point of interest in the Gothic quarter. You will see many fine examples of Gothic architecture and Roman walls around the Cathedral.

Plaça Sant Jaume: (Genralitat and Town Hall). Placa St Jaume is the square which contains the Town Hall and the regional government headquarters. On Sunday afternoons you will see Sardana dancing - a slow, circular, traditional dance performed by Catalan people.

The Vila Olimpica and the Port Olimpic: The Olympic harbour. This entertainment and leisure zone, built for the 1992 Olympic Games, has become a popular area for everyone. Most people come here to enjoy the nightlife on offer in the bars, restaurants and dance clubs.

Montjuich Mountain This and its 18th-century castle offers a panoramic view of the city and the port. However, Mount Montjuich’s most popular attraction is, by far, the Magic Fountains.

Barcelona Olympic stadium: Estadi Olimpic, venue for the 1992 Olympics. The stadium is open to visitors to take a look around and see where all the action took place.

Palau Sant Jordi - This magnificent multi-functional sports complex is a symbol of Barcelona's brave modern future and an incredible piece of avant-garde architecture.

The Calatrava Tower: It is the telecommunications tower and the symbol, according to its creator Santiago Calatrava, of the XXI century.

Poble Espanyol: Or the Spanish village, which was built for the 1929 International Exhibition in Barcelona. Its aim was to show visitors a representative sample of Spanish architecture.

Over here you will get an opportunity to taste the famous Catalan Cava - Spanish champagne and a renowned Barcelona speciality.

The tour ends at the Bus Terminal at Ronda Universidad.
