Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise ship in Sorrento in a private air-conditioned car for your Private Amalfi Sightseeing Tour . A private guide in your preferred language (Italian, English, German, French or Russian) will accompany you throughout the tour.

Board a hydrofoil to cross over to Capri, a journey of about 30 minutes.

Arrive at the beautiful island of Capri, where you have seven hours to enjoy this paradise.

There will be stops made for refreshments and lunch (payable direct). Your guide will give you a tour of Capri and you will have time at leisure.

Capri is known as the “Blue Isle” as its rugged limestone cliffs take on an azure hue from the sky and famous for the Blue Grotto, a natural sea inlet cavern where the light reflects beautiful, bright blue tones in the crystal clear waters.

A funicular train which labours up the hillside takes you to Capri Town, with its Piazzetta and streets lined with designer shops.

The Via Krupp (of Krupp household appliances fame) is one of the narrow, winding and breath-taking roads characteristic of the island. Your driver will take you on one of these (a bit wider and less winding !) from Capri Town to Anacapri on the other side of the island.

Anacapri is home to the lovely Villa San Michele, built by Doctor Axel Munthe, who declined the position as Royal Physician to Tzar Nicolas of Russia’s son, Alexei.

Nearby, is the little single-person chairlift which you can take to the top of Monte Solara, the highest peak on the island, from where you’ll have wonderful views of the surrounding area.
