You will be picked up from your hotel in Singapore at 1330h (1:30pm) and taken in an air-conditioned coach to the East Coast and Changi in Singapore. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.
The highlights of this tour include:
Malay Ethnic Centre: Here, you will see the rich cultural heritage of the Malays and relive life in a Malay kampong (village) in the 50's and 60's.
Changi Chapel and Museum: The Changi Chapel, situated within the open-air courtyard of the Museum, faithfully replicates the many chapels built during the Japanese Occupation. Built by Changi prison inmates, it stands as a tribute to those who maintained their faith and dignity during those dark years. As you tour the Changi Chapel and Museum, your guide will recount stories of the collective spirit that rose through the darkest times of World War II.
Changi Village: A drive through the rustic and laid-back Changi village gives you a chance to see the relaxing side of Singapore and provides a contrast to your next and final stop.
Tampines New Town: This is a typical heartland township of present day Singapore.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Singapore.
