This tour takes you to the crypts and catacombs of Rome from different historical eras in diverse locations and with varying styles. Enjoy an exclusive viewing at the Cappuccini Crypt, one of the world’s creepiest crypts. You will come across a series of chapels decorated with bones of monks who had a death wish. If you have the nerve, see these morbid patterns form baroque decorative details from rings of knucklebones and garlands of pelvises, to walls made from stacked skulls. Also see the ancient Christian prayer and burial ground, the Domitilla Catacombs with amazing frescoes in some of its burial chambers. You will also visit the ancient Church of San Clemente which dates back to the 4th Century. Discover the imperial and early Christian Rome by digging back layers and millenniums of history as you descend into the Eternal City’s underground burial chambers!
