  • Overview & Itinerary

This trip allows you to see the incredible beauty of the South of Iceland, perfect for those who want an adventurous twist to a relaxed trip.

Travel through the southern farming lands and to the beautiful black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, amazing volcanoes and stunning glaciers on the south coast.

Offshore you will be able to see the Reynisdrangar pillars, basalt rock stacks that rise from the sea. Icelandic legend says that they were trolls turned into rock by the rising sun when they came home late after a fishing trip.

Where else in the world can you stand on a glacier, walk behind a waterfall and stroll along a volcanic black sand beach all in one day?

The Iceland’s South Coast, Glacier Hike, and Waterfalls tour begins with a complimentary hotel pick-up, where a coach will take you to the South coast of Iceland.

The first stop is at the Selialandsfoss waterfall where you will be able to take in the beautiful scenery and walk behind its magnificent wall of water. The tour continues with an easy hike on the ancient ice of the Sólheimajökull glacier led by an experienced and certified glacier guide.

After the hike, the tour will go for a leisurely stroll along the black sand beach of Reynisfiara. From the beach you will be able to see the basalt columns that wall off the surrounding cliffs scattered with caves.

We finish up this great sightseeing tour with a stop at the Skógafoss waterfall, where on a clear day you may have a good view of the famous volcanoes, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. When the tour drives under the foothills of Eyjafjallajökull, you can catch a glimpse of the Westman Islands, rising steeply from the ocean just a few kilometres off the coast.

After seeing all of these amazing sights, the coach will drop you off back at your hotel in Reykjavik.
