  • Overview & Itinerary

Enjoy a day trip from Paris and visit famous impressionist artist Claude Monet’s lovely home in Giverny. Forget the hassle of travelling from Paris to Giverny, with round-trip train tickets already included in this tour’s price. You will have more time to admire the beauty of Monet’s charming residence, garden and studio with skip-the-line and priority access.

It is at this house where Monet painted his famous Water Lilies series. Be spellbound by the profusion of flowers in every possible shade and colour, and walk on the wisteria-covered Japanese footbridge over the famous lily pond. Both these sites were designed by the artist Monet himself.

You have ample time to explore the house on your own and be a part of this picture-postcard world of this great master.

You will travel to Giverny by train from Gare St Lazare station in Paris. Upon arrival, you will head to Claude Monet’s home, where the famous impressionist artist spent almost 43 years.

Explore the residence, garden and studio at your leisure. Also referred to as the Painter of Light, Monet was one of the first artists of his time to step out of the studio and experiment with light, shadow and the different effects of sunlight on nature. He not only constructed paths, pergolas and planted a huge variety of flowers and shrubs, but also diverted a stream and made a pond. Monet filled the pond with water lilies and built a Japanese-style footbridge connecting the garden. All Monet’s efforts paid off, with his garden often the subject of many of his masterpieces.

Visit Monet’s bedroom which boasts beautiful views over his beloved gardens, see the kitchen with blue and white Rouen tiles, and take in the artist’s collection of Japanese engravings.

At the end of the tour, you will return to Paris by train.
