Monet’s beautiful garden in Giverny is particularly delightful for its profusion of flowers in every imaginable shade and colour. The subject of the Water Lilies series, the water pond and the Japanese bridge are a beautiful sight. The bridge is covered in purple wisterias, planted by Monet himself. The American Art Museum houses paintings by American impressionist artists who came to France in the late 19th century.
