The garden of Claude Monet in Giverny is where the famous impressionist artist painted the Water Lilies series. The artists' pastel pink and green house has a lovely airy studio which now houses reproductions of his work. Monet's garden in Giverny is particularly delightful for its profusion of flowers in every imaginable shade and colour. The subject of the Water Lilies series, the water pond and the Japanese bridge are a charming sight. The bridge is covered in purple wisterias, which were planted by Monet himself. A day trip from Paris, Giverny draws visitors who come to see the beautiful garden that inspired Monet to create such fine paintings.
