Litchfield National Park Tour |
Get awed by the giant 'magnetic' termite mounds and admire the beautiful Florence and Tolmer Falls
| Overview | |
Open eucalyptus woodland, dense tropical rainforest and magnetic termite mounds are found in Litchfield National Park, which is just 130 km south west of Darwin. Ascend the rocky Tabletop Range where dry woodlands and forests dominate the huge sandstone plateau. Stop to view giant 'magnetic' termite mounds, some standing well over two metres tall. See the picturesque double waterfall forming Florence Falls, surrounded by rainforest. The Tolmer Falls are hailed as one of the most spectacular in the park, cascading over two high escarpments and plunging into a deep waterhole below. This tour of Litchfield National Park is a great way to get close to the spectacular natural beauty of Australia.
