Sound and Light Show at Philae |
Attend the sound and light show in Philae and learn about Egypt’s fascinating past
| Overview | |
Learn more about ancient Egyptian religion at this sound and light show in Philae. The show almost brings to life the Egyptian gods and goddesses with stories about their life. Unravel the legend of Osiris, the son of Geb and Nut, who was born in Thebes in Upper Egypt. Osiris soon took over as King and married his beautiful sister, Isis. He was the first person to abolish cannibalism and teach agriculture to his people. In the show, see Isis unhappy to learn that her temple was submerged in water for many years, but delighted to know that Philae was reborn to show new visitors a glimpse of Egypt’s glorious past.
