  • Overview & Itinerary

    Overview

Drive through the rolling valleys, rocky cliffs, and fruit orchards of the Provence countryside, while the majestic Alps tower in the distance and the Mediterranean coastline shimmers in the sun.

Go to the picturesque village of Saint Paul de Vence where the great impressionists used to gather with easel and canvas and sample the regional flower sweets at a perched medieval village that has stood guard since the 9th century.

Visit Grasse, the world capital of the perfume industry, and promenade along the beachside street in Cannes where stars of the silver screen raise their champagne glasses each year.

    Itinerary

Your driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nice in an air-conditioned minivan in this Provence Sightseeing tour.

Enjoy a charmed trip through the Provence countryside, where wild mountain country is interspersed with undulating valleys and neatly ordered cherry orchards.

Your first stop will be Tourettes sur Loup, a gorgeous medieval town known as the “city of violets” for the flowers that ornament its hills.

Drive through the stunning scenery of the Gorges sur Loup, with 700-meter cliffs towering above you en route to Gourdon.

Gourdon sits atop a rocky hillside, and affords magnificent panoramas of the valleys that billow out from beneath it. Spend an hour eating lunch (payable direct) and taste the Riviera specialty flower sweets in a traditional Florian confectionery.

Take a guided perfumery tour in the town of Grasse, world capital of the perfume industry and producer of two-thirds of France’s natural aromas.

Continue onward for Saint-Paul de Vence, a 9th century village whose Renaissance-era ramparts are a reminder of the invasions and repulsions that have given it its modern shape.

At the end of tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Nice.
