To join one of the Auckland Sailing Cruises, you should make your way to Explore NZ Kiosk, Auckland Viaduct Harbour, opposite Snap Dragon. Here you will board your purpose-built 50ft mono hull sailing yacht.
This 90-minute cruise takes you through Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour. Board your yacht and enjoy a lunch cruise through Auckland’s Viaduct Harbor. On the way, you will enjoy a packed lunch during the cruise, are served along with an entertaining commentary from the crew. See the key landmarks of the City; learn all about the history of the famous America’s Cup yacht race and marvel at the super yachts currently moored within the harbour. Then the sails will be hoisted and you will sail up under the Harbour Bridge, past Westhaven Marina, Chelsea sugar works, Naval Base and the City's waterfront.
Wet weather gear is provided if required. During the trip you can also help crew the boat if you wish.
The lunch box contains the following:
• Buttermilk bread filled with smoky chipotle mayonnaise, carved chicken breast, baby romaine lettuce, cucumber, red onion and crunchy bacon and watercress
OR
• Buttermilk bread filled with char-grilled lipstick pepper, black olive tapenade, cucumber, mayonnaise romaine lettuce and spicy rocket
• Fresh fruit
• Double chocolate brownie
Coffee or tea and bottled water are provided with your lunch. Additional drinks can be purchased at the cash bar.
