The island is a nature lover’s delight and its terrain is covered with rugged lava crops, lush native bush and sandy coves. Pohutukawa is a coastal evergreen tree that produces a brilliant display of crimson flowers and grows to a height of up to twenty metres. See the crater of the Island’s extinct volcano as you enjoy a board walk to the summit of the volcano.
