Both Neuschwanstein and Linderhof are magnificent castles and were conscientiously built with maximum preservation of the surrounding environment. They both appear to be emerging from the surrounding forests and environment, as though they truly belong there. These two castles stand as monuments to one of Germany’s greatest kings; King Ludwig II who oversaw their construction.
You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach at the front Wiesenhuettenstr, opposite Hotel Savoy.
Start the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein which was the inspiration for Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty Castle.” The castle was the private refuge of King Ludwig II. This architectural splendour of this construction immediately conjures images of fairy-tale fantasies.
Next, continue your journey to Linderhof Castle. This brilliant palace was built in 1886 by King Ludwig II. It sits like a jewel amid thick coniferous forest and its interior will take your breath away. See the dazzling splendor of the Hall of Mirrors and the stunning bedchamber. Feel like a king and enjoy a stroll through the ornamental gardens.
