Itinerary

At the start of your Tulum Jungle Adventure from Cancun you will be picked up from your hotel in a mini-van and driven to the stunning Mayan ruins of Tulum.

One of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayans, Tulum was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries. It even managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish conquest of Mexico.

The ruins are dramatically situated on the top of 12 m (39ft ) high cliffs along the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula and Tulum is the only known Mayan archeological site beside the sea. Led by your guide you will explore the ancient walled city and see spectacular features such as: El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God. The Temple of the Frescoes was used as an observatory for tracking the movements of the sun.

After visiting the ancient city you can enjoy the glorious beach at Tulum, said to be one of the finest in the world. You will also experience a Mayan purification ceremony at a beautiful dry cave.

The next adventure is to rappel (abseil) 50 foot down and bathe and snorkel in the clear waters of the Yaxmuul cenote (a clear underground pool).

And there is much more excitement to come. You will bounce through the lush rainforest on an all-terrain Mercedes Benz Unimog vehicle and fly like a bird over the jungle canopy on exciting zip-lines!!

All this excitement will make you hungry and during the day you will be served lunch buffet of homemade local dishes (chicken, rice, beans, salad), together with soft drinks and water

At the end of the day, you will be dropped back at your hotel around 5:00pm - 6:00pm (depending on hotel location).
