Itinerary

This tour is available in options-you can choose the coach tour or opt for a tour in a private vehicle, in which you will have greater flexibility to explore the city.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cancun and taken in a coach (coach tour) or a private vehicle (private tour) for this trip. Your driver is also your guide for this tour.

Make your way to the south of Cancun. On arrival at the archaeological zone, board the train to the site, where you will be taken on a guided tour of this important Maya ceremonial centre.

Built in honour of the sun, Tulum is perched on a sheer cliff overlooking the sea. It is the only walled Maya city yet discovered. Here you will see:

• El Castillo: This massive ‘Castle’ is a watchtower that looks out on magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea.

• Templo de Las Pinturas: See the colonnaded two storey ‘Temple of the Frescoes’, which has incredibly well preserved painted murals and relief masks depicting mythological and symbolic figures.

• Stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant.

• The Xel-Ha lagoon Located on the eastern coastline of the Yucatán Peninsula, it is one of the largest natural aquariums in the world. Snorkelling equipment and floats can be hired and the park offers comfortable facilities including changing rooms, lockers and a variety of gift shops.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Cancun.
