British holidaymakers have voted this weekend (11th-13th July) as the best time to go away.
In a poll carried out by travel tour group Isango, 40 per cent of people said it was the ideal time to take a holiday, due to the warm weather.
The poll also revealed that Brits would rather take a two-week holiday than have a 7-day break, with 25 per cent of people claiming they need a full fortnight to relax properly.
According to Isango, Brits spend an average of 21 days on holiday every year and should ensure that they plan ahead in order to make the most of their precious time.
Isango chief executive Ranjan Singh commented: "Our research shows that for many people, if you want the perfect holiday, it's not enough to just flop on the beach.
"The things you see and do while you're out there, as well as the people you meet along the way are what really make long-lasting memories ... It's really important to make those days count."
A study by Insure and Go last year revealed that the average Briton spends £837 on their annual family holiday.
