Enjoy a day full of interest and variety on the popular Malta Sunday Special Tour. At the start of the tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in the morning at the time arranged with the activity operator.
First stop is the busy Valletta Market, where you can spend about an hour among the hustle and bustle of vendors, onlookers and bargain hunters. You never know what you might find among the wide range of bric-a-brac on the well-laden stalls!
Then re-board your vehicle and tour the City to see some breathtaking views. You will look at Valetta’s historical bastions and get some idea of what it must have been like for the Knights of St John to defend the settlement from behind the walls.
Next, enjoy a hot and cold buffet lunch, washed down with a glass of local wine, before embarking on your Harbour Cruise. Depending on the weather, lunch may be served on board or else in a 4-star hotel close to the sea.
The 90-minute Harbour Cruise explores the island’s two famous harbours and shows you the sites of Malta's greatest battles, the Great Siege of 1565 and World War II. The cruise also reveals the breathtaking beauty of Valletta and the Three Cities when viewed from the sea. During the cruise a commentary in English and German will explain the historic and cultural significance of the places you will see.
Lastly, you will proceed to Marsa Race Course (entrance included) to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Horse Races.
At the end of a great day out, you will be dropped back at your hotel.
