Itinerary

For your exciting Gozo Quad Bike Day Tour, you will be picked up from your hotel on the main island of Malta, or on the smaller island of Gozo, in an air-conditioned mini-bus. An English-speaking guide will accompany you.

If you are starting from Malta you will be driven to the ferry port at Cirkewwa to catch the ferry across to Gozo (30 minutes). In summer (weather permitting) you will cross to Gozo in a powerboat (15 minutes). (If you are starting from Gozo, you will be picked up by jeep and driven to the starting point.)

At Gozo, your guide will be waiting to drive you to the start point at Qala. After some safety instructions, you will jump on your quad bike and set off on your tour. Along the way there will be plenty of stops, so you can have a rest from riding and take photos of the glorious scenery.

Your route takes you through the Simar Valley, to the village of Nadur, and on to Ramla Bay where, weather permitting, you will stop for a swim (35 to 40 minutes).

You will then go on to Xaghra and stop at the famous Calypso Cave. Legend says that this was the cave where Odysseus was imprisoned by the nymph Calypso.

After this stop you will pass through Marsalforn Bay and Xwejni Bay and see the saltpans. Dating from 1740, these are still in use, and produce several tons of sea salt every year.

Your route then continues to Ghasri Valley from where you will see beautiful views of the open sea.

You will stop for an hour for lunch at a restaurant. Lunch includes a choice of pasta or soup, choice of fish or chicken, and dessert, plus soft drink, water, tea or coffee. Vegetarian options include pasta, cheese pie or salad.

After lunch you will go to Dwejra and stop there for around 30 minutes. You will see Fungus Rock and hear the strange story of how it got its name. You will also see the Inland Sea, a salt lake connected to the Mediterranean by a narrow tunnel, and the Azure Window, a scenic rock arch.

Next, you will drive past the island's dramatic limestone quarries and on to Kercem Heights where you will have a breathtaking view of Gozo, the sea and Malta.

Later, after passing through Xlendi Gozo’s tourist resorts, you will stop at Sannap Cliffs to enjoy the stunning panoramic views.

This is the last scenic viewpoint on your tour. From here you will proceed to Qala, where you leave your quad bike, and your tour leader will then take you back to Mgarr for the ferry to Malta. Arriving at Cirkewwa, you will find the minibus waiting to drive you back to your accommodation.

At the end of your Gozo adventure, you will be dropped back at your hotel.
