Scenic Lake District Overnight Stay - Tour from London |
Explore the beautiful scenery of the lake district and enjoy the warm hospitality of the region
| Overview | |
Spend two days in the spectacular Lake District National Park. Travel through the Midlands passing canals and market towns, to reach Oxenholme in the heart of the Lake District. Enjoy a cruise on one of Lakes and stroll through picturesque medieval village of Hawkshead. Visit Hill Top, the home of author Beatrix Potter, which remains exactly as she left it and in each room there's something that appears in one of her books. The cottage garden contains the same pleasing mix of flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables as grown by Beatrix. On this tour, you will also travel through the majestic mountain scenery of the Langdale Valleys to Grasmere, which inspired poets like Wordsworth. You will also pass the sprawling Victorian town of Bowness-on-Windermere as you make your way back to catch the train to London.
