Dzukija is situated in the south of Lithuania. The major cities of Dzukija region are Belarus. Vilnius, Lyda and Alytus. Forests and marshlands are a major feature of Dzukija. The biggest swamp in Lithuania, the Cepkeliu marsh, is also situated here.
Dzukija is famous for the Dzukija National Park, The Dzukija was established as a National Park in 1991 in order to preserve the pine forests, the landscape and the villages of the region.
