Overview
Lake Chini, famous for its lush tropical forests and plentiful animal and bird life, attracts many visitors. It is also the habitat for numerous fish species. The chief attraction, is the lake, when it is covered with blooming lotuses.
Kuantan lies on the east coast of peninsula Malaysia. The city is a stop-over for visitors heading north, south or across the peninsula. While the city has not much to offer, there are many terrific locations and interesting sights around that are worth a visit.
Itinerary
This tour combines the scenic with the cultural and the natural. It is a satisfying mix for any visitor. You will be picked-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned private vehicle for this wonderful tour.
The tour begins with a scenic drive through oil palm and rubber plantations interspersed with tropical jungle. You will then board a traditional river boat.
The boat will take you on a ride on the river that winds through the forest. Along the way you may spot monkeys, water monitor lizards and birds. With a "roof" of tree branches above and the forest all around you, the river cruise is an enchanting journey.
A stop is included where the Jakun tribe – the aboriginal people of the area will demonstrate the use of blowpipes that they use for hunting.
The highlight of the tour is the serene and gorgeous Lake Chini (Tasik Chini). It is actually a series of 12 lakes linked by corridors of vegetation covered canals. The best to see is when the lake is covered with lotus flowers in full bloom. The pink of the blooms contrasting with the green of the pads make the lake a truly beautiful sight.
After this beautiful nature tour you will be taken back to your hotel.

The maximum capacity for boat ride is 4 people in a single boat.
A surcharge of RM 30 per person applies for pick-up from Cherating hotel.
A 50% surcharge applies for all transfers after 10pm or if pick-up is before 8am.
A surcharge also applies during the following periods:
