Overview

Malaysia's Taman Negara National Park is one of the oldest rainforests on earth, estimated to be 130 million years old. It is the best preserved tropical rainforest and one of the great natural wonders of the world.

The flora and fauna here have had a chance to evolve naturally over millions of years without outside interference or major calamities. Taman Negara is Malaysia’s premier National Park and spans across three states – Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahand.

A visit to this pristine evergreen rainforest is an experience to treasure.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Depart for Kampung Tahan jetty from Kuala Lumpur. This is the staging point for visits to the Taman Negara National Park. Here you will board a longboat for Taman Negara. The boat ride is approximately 5.5 hours long. You will pass through some beautiful countryside.

On arrival at the park you will check into your accommodation where you can take a short rest. After a relaxing break, in the evening, you join a briefing and an introduction to the park.

Dinner will be included.

Day 2 :

In the morning, the tour starts with a trek up Teresek Hill. You'll also have the option of going to the Canopy Walkway. The Canopy Walkway is a rope and wood bridge, which is about 30-40 metres above ground. The walkway is an ideal vantage point to observe the forest. After this excursion you return to your accommodation.

In the afternoon you are taken on a leisurely boat trip to Lata Berkoh. Lata Berkoh is a spectacular cascade on the river. There is deep pool below the cascade, delightful for swimming where you can dip in the cool water. After this leisurely boat cruise you return to your accommodation for dinner and the night stay.

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner will be included.

Day 3:

After the night's stay in Taman Negara, you leave the Park this morning for your return trip to Kuala Lumpur.

Breakfast will be included.

Taman Negara National Park Canopy Walk Operational Hours : Saturday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM . Closed on every Friday. ** On occasion,due to bad weather, the canopy walk may be closed without advance notice . 

Every tourist is liable to pay the tourism tax locally upon hotel check out as per the new tourism tax rules set by the government. This tax will be applicable for all hotels and accommodation except the ones which are for non-commercial use maintained by government or any other public or religious institutions.

A surcharge of MYR35.00 per person is applicable for pick-up and drop-off from Sunway Lagoon Resort & Spa, KL Sentral (Hilton KL & Le Meridien), Cititel Midvalley, Boulevard and all other hotels in Petaling Jaya.

Accommodation would be on twin sharing basis. All visitors enter caves at their own risk.

Entry permit into the national park is payable locally. Adult RM30/person, child RM10/person and senior citizen RM15/person.

Travellers will need to arrange their own transportation to Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur (lower lobby entrace) to meet up the representative of Mutiara Taman Negara no later than 7:30am. The shuttle will be departing 8am
