You will be picked up by bus from your Ocho Rios hotel for this Dog Sledding in Jamaica tour .
Drive to Chukka Cove Farm, where you’ll be given a brief orientation outlining the origins of sled dog racing, and the unlikely history of the Jamaican Dogsled Team. Learn about the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, where many of the dogs on the tour hail from.
Take a short walk to the official home of the Jamaica Dogsled Team, where you will “broth” the dogs learn the art of “mushing.”
Pet, hug and cuddle these magnificent dogs and learn about their life stories. Assist your guide with harnessing the dogs for your two-mile tour around Chukka Cove Farm.
Feel a tropical breeze at your back as this team of trusty canines pulls you through the Jamaican countryside.
Make a brief stop at Papillon Cove , where Steve McQueen did his famous cliff dive in the 1973 movie of same name. Sip on cool refreshments and explore some hidden caves.
Encourage the dogs during the break before completing your ride of a lifetime.
After a grandstanding run past the Chukka Cove Bar, Grill and Gift shop, the team will head back home.
Assist with returning the dogs to their kennels and rewarding them with treats.
