Experience the thrill of a hot-air balloon flight over Turin, one of the most spectacular cities in Italy and host to the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. This tour offers you a wonderful opportunity of viewing this historic city from the comfort of a balloon basket, flown by an experienced professional pilot. These magical flights take place at rooftop height and give you a unique perspective of the region's' capital.

Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience of a balloon flight over the vineyards of famous wine producers. Later, sample some of the fine local wines in the very place where they have been bottled.

Itinerary

Make your own way to the pre-arranged launch site for your Hot Air Balloon flight. You will be greeted by your pilot and crew and introduced to your fellow passengers.

The balloon will then be prepared for flight; if you wish you may help with the inflation.

When the final checks have been made you will be asked to climb into the basket where you will be fully briefed on all aspects of in-flight safety and landing procedures. Once the briefing is complete the balloon will rise gently and majestically into the air. Your adventure has begun.

After launching you find yourself floating peacefully with the breeze, the hustle and bustle of everyday life replaced by the timeless tranquility of balloon flight. The beauty of the Piedmont landscape unfolds beneath you, and as the balloon climbs higher you will be able to enjoy spectacular panoramic views.

Towards the end of the flight your pilot will look for a suitable landing site and guide the balloon back down to earth.

Once the balloon has been deflated and packed away you will be invited to celebrate your flight with a glass of local wine and delicacies from the region.

A Flight Certificate will then be issued to you as a reminder of your participation in this wonderful adventure, and as a perfect memento of a special day.

The retrieve crew, who have been following the balloon throughout the flight, will then return you to the launch site.

Should adverse weather conditions mean your tour is unable to offer you will either be offered an alternative departure date or a full refund
Balloons require stable weather conditions to fly and in particular calm light winds and good visibility. Here in the Piedmont Region we have some of the most stable weather in Europe and we can fly virtually the whole year round.
Flights generally take place in the early mornings and evenings when the winds tend to be lighter and there is no thermal activity.
No specialized clothing is required and casual outdoor wear made from natural fibers with flat shoes is ideal. Temperatures in the air are similar to those on the ground, but those who are tall or thin on top may appreciate a hat to avoid the heat from the burner.
There is no upper age limit on flying, but passengers need to be agile enough to climb in and out of the basket and tall enough to look over its rim.
