Baroque art and music enthusiasts will love this experience! You'll begin with a tour of the Church of Sant'Agnese, one of Rome's best examples of Baroque architecture. Your tour guide will give you in-depth explanations of the history of the building and the art and symbolism in its architecture.
After the tour, you'll sit down to enjoy a concert in the church, featuring music from famous Baroque composers such as Caccini and Frescobaldi. In addition to featuring Baroque music, the concert is performed on period instruments, giving everything a more authentic sound.
Your Music in Bernini's Rome tour will meet at the Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone, which is located in Piazza Navona. You'll start the evening with a tour of the church. Built in the 17th century and designed by famous architects (and artists) of the time such as Bernini, Rainaldi, and Borromini, the Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone is considered to be one of the best examples of Baroque architecture. During your tour, you'll learn more about the architecture of the church, as well as the sculptures and other artwork it holds.
After your tour, you'll be treated to a musical concert in the church featuring music from famous 17th-century composers such as Caccini, Frescobaldi, and Monteverdi, performed using musical instruments of the Baroque age. This tour is perfect for lovers of Baroque art, history, and music, as it provides the perfect atmosphere, almost making you feel as though you've been transported back in time.
Wonderful concert. Incredibly talented musicians in a magical place. The Church of Sant'Agnese is a very beautiful place and a magical environment for a concert. This was one of my favourite experiences in Rome - I recommend it and will definitely repeat it!
