Itinerary

The starting point for the evening is the Piazza Santa Trinità (at the Column). A guide will meet you here at 1900h (7:00pm) and you will walk through the historical centre to the restaurant.

You will enjoy a true Italian-style evening sampling Tuscan cuisine as you listen to celebrated vocalists and popular Neapolitan songs. A representative will escort you to an elegant restaurant, the Wine House, in the heart of the old city. Built into a characteristic “hollow” (an old cellar), the restaurant offers a picture perfect setting where you can savour Florentine culinary delights. The cellar’s arches and vaults dating back to 1200 AD enhance the romantic setting of the venue. Here you will be treated to a typical candlelit Tuscan dinner complemented by an excellent Chianti wine.

Close to the restaurant, you will be enthralled by renditions of operatic arias from Italy’s great composers such as Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, by professional tenors and/or sopranos. Enjoy world-renowned Neapolitan songs in an intimate atmosphere with superb acoustics. Tea or coffee with a piece of cake or a goblet of wine will be served during the interval.

The recital will finish at around 2245h (10:45pm). The tour ends at the concert venue.
