Vecellio Hotel

An excellent little, 3-star, boutique-style hotel with only 8 rooms, the Vecellio Hotel stands overlooking the Lagoon towards the islands of Murano, Burano, and St Michele. Having only opened in 2005, and run by a true-blooded Venetian, Matteo (always ready to recommend some local and inexpensive restaurants), the hotel has paid particular attention to detail in the furnishings and decor and prides itself on its location, being no more than a 15 minute walk from the beautiful Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. However, if guests prefer to use the water-bus (vaporetto), then the stop is literally outside the hotel's front door (guests should also note there is a direct water-bus link to Marco Polo airport from outside the hotel). All rooms are equipped with en-suite facilities, individually activated climate control, minibar, cable TV, internet access and telephone. Guests at the Vecellio are sure to appreciate that Matteo is nearly always on hand to assist guests with suggestions as to places to visit, restaurants to experience and bars to enjoy! Privately owned and proudly run, the Vecellio Hotel is a little gem of a hotel, slightly off the well-worn tourist track and well worth a visit.
