Itinerary

Day 1: Dublin - Derry

The tour starts from Kinlay House, 2/12 Lord Edward Street, Dublin 2, where you will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.

Immerse yourself in Ireland’s historic past at the impressive Trim Castle, a 20th century Anglo Norman fortress. Up next is the awe-inspiring prehistoric tombs at Lough Crew – which are older than the pyramids of Giza! Then why not relax over a pint or take a stroll in picturesque Enniskillen - a pretty island town on Lough Erne, just over the northern border, infamous for troubles during the 80s. Then it’s onto Derry City for a night of traditional music and song.

Spend the night in a 3 or 4-star hotel with self catering kitchens and laundry facilities. The accommodation will be reserved, but you will have to pay locally. Your breakfast, lunch and dinner are not included in the package and is payable direct.

Day 2: Derry - Belfast

In the morning, a beautiful coastal drive will take you straight to Dunluce Castle, thought to be one of the most romantic and picturesque of Irish castles. Find your own space at the mysterious Giant’s Causeway. With its thousands of hexagonal columns it is a source of many a legend, and on a clear day you can see right across to Scotland! On the North Coast you have the opportunity to cross the swinging Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, spanning a chasm some 30 meters deep and 20 meters wide. Earlier it was a single hand rail and widely spaced slats which fishermen would traverse across with salmon caught off the island (Rope Bridge is open only during summers). Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Antrim valley as you journey to Northern Ireland’s capital city – Belfast.

Spend the night at a hotel in Belfast.

Day 3: Belfast - Dublin

A real eye opener - see the murals of the Falls and Shankill Road on the famous Black Cab tour of the City. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Mourne Mountains sweeping down to the sea, en-route to Carlingford. Stop off at Monasterboice for intricately carved Celtic High crosses before visiting the site of the Battle of the Boyne, crucial to Northern Ireland’s History. Back to Dublin through the royal county Meath.

After a memorable excursion of Belfast, return to Dublin and you will be dropped back to the starting point of the tour.
