Overview

Kovalam is famous across the world for its golden beaches and palm-fringed shores. Many call it the ‘Paradise of the East’.

Relax on the beaches of Kovalam and watch the mesmerizing scenic beauty of coconut trees swaying in the wind and the azure blue waters lapping against the shore. Kovalam has three big adjacent crescent beaches namely the Lighthouse Beach, Hawah beach and Samudra beach. Hawah beach has the distinction of being India’s first topless beach. Although not allowed anymore except in private coves owned by resorts, it is nonetheless, a great attraction. Kovalam is also famous for its scenic beauty and range of water sports.

Itinerary

Day 1:

You will be picked up from the airport/railway station at Trivandrum, now called Thiruvananthapuram and will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to hotel Uday Samudra. You will stay in an 'exotica room' as per the hotel's classification. Located on the Samudra beach, the hotel offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Arabian Sea. It is elegantly appointed and beautifully landscaped with lush green lawns, beautiful gardens and tall palm trees. The personalised service and the soothing ambience of the hotel will give you an unforgettable experience. The hotel has a lovely beach, a multi-cuisine restaurant and a luxurious swimming pool.

Your package includes breakfast daily throughout your stay.

You will stay in a sea-facing room. One of Kerala's most spacious and lush resorts, Surya Samudra is an eco-friendly beach resort with 23 cottages spread over nearly 20 acres of private space. Each cottage is surrounded by luxuriant foliage of coconut, palm, bamboo, banana, wild shrubs and flowers. The hotel has lovely beach view cottages, a multi-cuisine restaurant and a swimming pool.

Spend the night at the hotel.

Days 2 and 3:
Explore Kovalam. Stroll along the scenic beach, feel the cool breeze on your face and the golden sand under your feet. Samudra beach has several resorts and beach-side restaurants shacks where you can sample local cuisine. Explore the local fishing villages and watch the people there go about their daily activities. You may swim in the waters here, although Samudra Beach with is a rather rough beach compared to the others. But it’s a great place to relax and unwind and work on that sun tan you always wanted.

Day 4:
Today you will be taken to the airport/railway station to proceed on your onward journey
