You will be picked up by bus from your Reykjavik hotel to kick off this Viking Horse Ride and Blue Lagoon tour. You will be accompanied for the day by an English-speaking tour guide.
Drive to the outskirts of the capital and mount a beautiful Icelandic horse. Horse riding takes place at Laxnes horsefarm (at Íshestar if Laxnes is fully booked).
The Icelandic horse is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought it to the country in the 9th century. These strong, supple, and sure-footed horses move with the speed and effortlessness of the wind.
Re-board your bus and continue onward to the Blue Lagoon, where you spend your afternoon awash in serenity.
The Blue Lagoon is a unique geothermal spa situated in the youngest lava field in west Iceland. Once there you are treated to a few hours of perfect peace-walk through the enchanted lava fields that surround the lagoon, bathe in the steamy blue-green waters, relax in a geothermal steam bath or release the stress from your shoulders under a soothing waterfall.
Your time at the Blue Lagoon is at leisure. We do not include the bathing fee in the tour price as many people choose to simply wander and take in the beauty of the area or have a meal at the restaurant. If you wish to bathe you may pay the fee locally.
You will be dropped back at your hotel in Reykjavik at tour’s end.
