  • Indulge in all manner of relaxation at a magical geothermal spa
  • Pre-book your bathing package: availability at the Blue Lagoon is limited!
  • Upgrade to include your entrance and bathing fee package to save €5 compared to booking it locally.
  • Ride through the arresting Icelandic countryside on a beautiful Icelandic horse

Glide across the lush and lovely landscape of Iceland on the back of an Icelandic horse.

These swift and graceful creatures skim the earth when they gallop, and the countryside hurries by in a rush of green and brown.

Spend the afternoon relaxing at the Blue Lagoon, a world-famous geothermal spa, where you can sink into the reviving waters and enjoy a moment of cathartic calm. A great restaurant, world-class spa treatments, and a shop full of unique body-care products keep you in the lap of luxury.

The basic version of this tour does not include entrance to the Blue Lagoon. Availability at the Blue Lagoon can be limited therefore we recommend you upgrade to include one of our bathing packages. The Blue Lagoon Standard Bathing Package includes entrance to The Blue Lagoon spa. You can also opt for the Blue Lagoon Comfort Bathing Package, which also offers use of a towel, a drink of your choice, skin care trial pack and an algae mask.

You will be picked up by bus from your Reykjavik hotel to kick off this Viking Horse Ride and Blue Lagoon tour. You will be accompanied for the day by an English-speaking tour guide.

Drive to the outskirts of the capital and mount a beautiful Icelandic horse. Horse riding takes place at Laxnes horsefarm (at Íshestar if Laxnes is fully booked).

The Icelandic horse is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought it to the country in the 9th century. These strong, supple, and sure-footed horses move with the speed and effortlessness of the wind.

Re-board your bus and continue onward to the Blue Lagoon, where you spend your afternoon awash in serenity.

The Blue Lagoon is a unique spa located in a lava field in west Iceland. A combination of silica, geothermally-heated sea water and algae gives the lagoon a lovely milky-blue color. The warm water comes from the nearby geothermal power plant of Svartsengi and averages a pleasant 40°C (104°F). It is rich in minerals and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to alleviate skin conditions such as psoriasis.

You have three Blue Lagoon options to choose from - Viking Horse Riding & The Blue Lagoon without entrance , or combine it with the Standard Admission Bathing Package or Comfort Admission Bathing Package.

Apart from our basic tour you can opt for the Standard Admission Bathing Package, which includes the visitor pass as well as the entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon spa. You can bathe in the lagoon, enjoy sauna and use the changing facilities.

You also have the option to choose the Comfort Admission Bathing Package which includes all the elements of the standard package and additional benefits, which are as follows:

•Get a large and comfortable towel. You must return the towel after bathing.
•Enjoy a drink of your choice at the Blue Café or the Lagoon Bar.
•Get a skincare trial pack that consists of a 30ml tube and one complimentary sample of Blue Lagoon signature products. The pack also has a sample of the Blue Lagoon algae mask.

You will be dropped back at your hotel in Reykjavik at tour’s end. Driving time from the Blue Lagoon to Reykjavik is around 50 minutes.
