Located close to Keflavik International Airport, the Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s premier attractions. Lying in a field of basalt lava, the milky-blue mineral-rich waters are the run-off from a geothermal project and the temperature averages a relaxing 35-40°C.
Soaking in the steamy turquoise pool set in a natural bowl of black rock is a truly relaxing way to spend a couple of hours.

The Blue Lagoon is a unique spa located in a lava field in west Iceland. A combination of silica, geothermally-heated sea water and algae gives the lagoon a lovely milky-blue color. The warm water comes from the nearby geothermal power plant of Svartsengi and averages a pleasant 40 °C (104 °F). It is rich in minerals and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to alleviate skin conditions such as psoriasis.
The spa's state-of-the-art facilities include: modern changing rooms and showers, an indoor pool, and a restaurant overlooking the Blue Lagoon. A geothermal beach, lava caves and silica mud are also a part of the lagoon area. In addition to bathing, you can enjoy relaxing in a lava cave and a unique geothermal steam bath.
Your time at the Blue Lagoon is at leisure. We do not include the bathing fee in the tour price as many people choose to simply wander and take in the beauty of the area or have a meal at the restaurant. If you wish to bathe you may pay the fee locally.
At the end of the trip you will be dropped off at Keflavik Airport to catch your flight. Driving time to the Airport is about 20 minutes. Most airlines require that you arrive at the Airport at least 2 hours before flight departures, so please choose your departure time from the Spa with that in mind. Please tell the bus driver on your way to the Blue Lagoon which departure you plan to take when leaving the Spa.
