You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Erzsebet square.The highlights of this tour are:
• The Halászbástya, the Fishermen’s Bastion: There will be a short photo stop here. The Fisherman’s Bastion was built as a viewing platform in 1905.
• Crossing the Lánchíd (the Chain Bridge), see the floodlit public buildings that lie along the river Danube. The Lanchid was the first permanent stone bridge between Buda and Pest, completed in 1849. It is perhaps the city’s most famous bridge.
Driving along Andrássy út, the famous Budapest boulevard, you shall reach Hosök Tere (Hero’s Square) where there will be a stop for taking photographs.
Hero’s Square is one of the major squares of Budapest, surrounded by two important buildings, Museum of Fine Arts on the left and Palace of Art (or Art Exhibition Museum) on the right. The central site of the square, as well as a landmark of Budapest is the Millennium Memorial with statues of the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century.
You will have dinner in an old-world restaurant in the Buda Castle district which will be accompanied by gypsy music. You will receive a welcome drink, Fried chicken or turkey with potatoes or rice as a main course and somlói galuska (sponge cake) for desert. This is traditional Hungarian food. You will also be served a glass of wine.
